At Target Web, I began my professional career building web solutions for a diverse range of business clients.

Learning the Craft

As my first professional development role, Target Web provided the foundation for everything that followed. I learned not just how to write code, but how to translate client requirements into working software—a skill that proved invaluable throughout my career.

Full-Cycle Web Development

I specialized in the LAMP Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), creating dynamic web applications using Laravel and custom CMS solutions. Projects ranged from simple brochure sites to more complex e-commerce implementations with WordPress and WooCommerce.

Client-Facing Experience

My role extended beyond coding. I worked directly with clients to understand their business goals and translate them into technical project plans. This included:

  • Gathering requirements through client meetings
  • Providing accurate time and cost estimates
  • Managing expectations when scope changed
  • Delivering projects within agreed timelines

This foundational experience rooted my engineering practice in delivering tangible business value. Learning to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders became a skill I’ve relied on in every role since.
